To Create a Secure Communications Process

For an enterprise server region, you can create a secure Communications Process control listener to encrypt the communications it handles:

  1. In ESCWA, click Native.
  2. In the navigation pane, expand Directory Servers, and then select your enterprise server region.
  3. Click General > Listeners
  4. Click Communications Processes that corresponds to the server which you want to secure.
  5. In the Communications Server Properties, click Configure to expand the list of properties.
  6. Click TLS Settings.
  7. Click Enable TLS.
  8. In the Certificate File field, type the absolute path to the certificate file.
  9. In the Keyfile field, type the absolute path to the keyfile.
Note: The keyfile must reference a file containing the passphrase. See To Configure the Passphrase in a File for more information.
  10. Click Apply.

If the enterprise server is configured to use a security manager, then in addition to enabling TLS (SSL) for the Communications Process control listener, you can set resource access control rules for some Communications Process features. See Resource Classes for Communications Server for more information.
