cblcored utility

Creates a core dump file that can be used to debug a native COBOL program.
Restriction: This topic applies to native COBOL only.

Syntax

cblcored 

Parameters

The cblcored executable invokes a dialog box that provides a drop-down list containing these options:

Disabled
No core dump is required (default).
Enabled with prompt
Display a message box when a core dump is about to be created.
Enabled with no prompt
Do not display a message box when a core dump is about to be created.

Comments

The name of the core dump file is cblcore, and it is located in the same folder as the application.

cblcored.exe requires write permission to the current user’s HKEY_CURRENT_USER key in the Windows registry. Ensure that the utility has the required permission in order for any changes to the Core Dump settings to persist.

cblcored.exe is one of the COBOL Server files, that is provided for on-site debugging. You are authorized to redistribute this file to your customers providing you have the appropriate license.
