Managing Enterprise Server Regions from Server Explorer

Server Explorer is a window in Visual Studio that enables you to connect to servers, as well as view and access their resources.

For example, you can connect to, view and access the following resources:

  • Data Connections
  • Servers
  • Event Logs
  • Services

In your COBOL development system, you can also view and access a Micro Focus server.

  • Connect to a Micro Focus directory server and check which enterprise servers are running
  • Start and stop Micro Focus enterprise servers
  • Create or delete Micro Focus enterprise servers
  • Run and monitor Enterprise Server Applications
  • Access the enterprise server administration facilities
Note: You can also perform some of these tasks from within Solution Explorer and the context-menu commands available at project level.
