Description

A REST based integrator between SMAX (ITSM tool) and TWILIO (SMS Gateway), as to send Critical Incident SMS notification to the Assignee or to ITSM Service Manager/Owner, in case the Critical Incident is unassigned. ·

  • REST based Integration with SMAX, to extract the Open Critical Incident list (status as Ready / InProgress) ·
  • Extract the Incident Number, Assignee & his Mobile details. ·
  • Passed the above mentioned details to another REST based integration to SMS Gateway (TWILIO)

Minimum Requirements

Prerquisites

  • Adequate Server Access for creating Files and Folders.
  • Integration User Credential with Tenant ID at SMAX endpoint
  • Adequate SMAX Access role (minimum to have IT User) to the integration user
  • Public Certificate enabled on SMAX instance
  • TWILIO SID & Token is mandate to make SMS Gateway integration

Compatibility

Connector is compatible with Windows machine only

Deployment

  • Create a folder named say SMAX2SMS and copy the executable
  • For the first time execution
    • Syntax : SMAX2SMS.exe -f firstrun
    • Enter details like (it will be stored in CFG directory, in respective YAML files)
      • Username & Password for SMAX
      • Base URL for SMAX
      • Tennant ID
      • TWILIO's SID & AUTH TOKEN
  • For Normal execution
    • Syntax : SMAX2SMS -l normalrun
