Changing the Assignee Location
There are two methods of changing records Assignee Location
- Right-click Locations - Assignee.
See below for instructions about using this function.
- Dragging.
- Search for the record(s) whose Location you want to change
- Right-click and select Locations - Assignee.
The Set Assignee dialogue box appears.
- Set To Location - type in the name of the new Location or click KwikSelect to select one from the list or click Search to search for specific Locations
- Due for Return By - the date the record is due to be returned to its current assignee.
You can limit the borrowing time and set Content Manager to send email notifications when the due date has passed.
See Record Type Defaults page and System Options Notifications page. - Set To Home - you can change the Assignee Location to match the Home Location. The Home Location appears in the Set to Home field below. If the record has an assigned container, this option will enclose the record in its container. You can also tag multiple files - with different assigned containers - and use this option to enclose them.
- Set to Earliest Requestor - if the record has multiple requests, the fields will contain the request with the earliest date. Select this option to move the record to the requestor.
If you have tagged records, the Location field will be blank and the Due for Return By field will be available for you to set a common return date for the selected records.
NOTE: This field is enabled only if a current record request is present. The definition of a current request is a retrieval request that is:
- that is not complete.
- within a threshold of the due date. This is calculated as the end of the current working day or within the maximum service delivery time registered for the Storage Provide Location, whichever is later.
The current request is then chosen as the earliest due of all the requests meeting the above criteria. - Set as Missing - marks a record's Assignee Location as Missing.
You can search for records marked as missing at any time.
- Effective From - you can type in a past date and time and save the information for the record.
- Click OK
