Options Search page
The Options - Search page enables you to choose how to search for items in Content Manager.
Choose the search dialogue box Content Manager should display for you when you use search functions for records:
- String-based Editor
- Multi-field Editor
- Boolean Editor
Choose the search dialogue box Content Manager should display for you when you use search functions for items other than records:
- String-based Editor
- Multi-field Editor
- Boolean Editor

For the items and groups below, choose where Content Manager should start searching, e.g. browsing the Classification plan, a tray , the Explorer window or by using the Search function:
- For a container
- For a document
- For any other type of Record
- For Locations
- For any other type of Content Manager object
NOTE: The selected default starting points may not always apply. Depending on business rules and other searches, a different starting point may be used. For example, when reassigning an activity that is a sub-activity, the search method used will be members:<parent Activity Assignee> rather than the selected starting point.
