Security breaches
This function enables a Content Manager administrator to view and print occurrences of security breaches that may have occurred.
Security breaches appear in an Historical Events dialogue box with all other events that have occurred, for example, Location and container changes and movement history.
By default, the security breaches function will only show security breaches for the current day.
For events to be logged, the relevant event must be selected in the Audit page of the Record Type.
Two types of security breaches can occur in Content Manager:
- Security breaches when setting Assignees - see System Options Security page
- Container security breaches - see Record Type General page
- On the Manage ribbon, click Online Audit Log.
The Historical Events dialogue box appears with the list of today's events for the dataset, including security breaches.
- Right-click the list of events, and on the Search menu, click Refine Search.
The Search for Historical Events dialogue appears. - Refine the search, for example, by selecting in the Search By field:
- date - to refine the search by the date range it searches within
- object - to refine the search by searching for breaches for a specific Content Manager object, like a record, Location, or Classification
- login - to return only the security breaches committed under a specific login
- Click New under the search options to refine the search by more than one criterion, and enter more, if needed
- In the Sort/Filter tab, ensure the option Security Violations Only is selected
- If needed, refine the search further using the other tabs and options
- Click OK.
Content Manager returns the search result for the refined search.
