Registering an existing Content Manager dataset
If a Content Manager dataset has already been created elsewhere, i.e. a different server, and you want to move it to another server or you have lost the dataset in Content Manager Enterprise Studio, perform the following steps:
- Copy the dataset to the new server
- Start Content Manager Enterprise Studio
- Right-click Datasets and click Register Dataset.
The Register New Dataset dialog appears.
- Complete the dialogs as required:
- Identification - see Identification dialog box
- Connection - see Connection dialog box
- Customer - see Customer dialog box
- Options - see Options dialog box
- Authentication - see Authentication dialog box
- Bulk Load - see Bulk Load dialog box
- Document Storage - see Document Storage dialog box
- Storage - see Storage dialog box
- In the dialog Storage, click Finish when you are ready.
Content Manager displays warning messages, if relevant.
Content Manager registers the dataset and a confirmation message appears.
It also shows the location of the log file for you to review.
- Click OK.
The dataset appears in Content Manager Enterprise Studio under the node Datasets.
