Working with a Workgroup Server
- Click to expand Workgroup Servers.
The available Workgroup Servers appear.
- Right-click Workgroup Servers for the commands:
- New Workgroup Server - to create or set up a new Content Manager Workgroup Server.
- Send message to Users - to send a message to all currently logged on users.

- Right-click a Workgroup Server for the commands:
- Enable Logging - turns logging on for this Workgroup Server.
A confirmation message appears and logging will be disabled after saving and deploying the configuration.
- Disable Logging - this option is available if logging is enabled. Select to disable the logging on the selected Workgroup Server. A confirmation message appears and logging will be disabled after saving and deploying the configuration.
- Deactivate Server - configures the Workgroup Server to enter a deactivating state. All connected clients will be requested to reconnect, and once all clients have disconnected, the Workgroup Server will shut itself down.
During the deactivation state, HTTP health checks on the Workgroup Server will return a 503 Service Unvailable response. This allows any frontend load balancing software to direct traffic to other Workgroup Servers. - Show Logged on Users - displays a dialog with the list of users and their details that are currently logged on to the selected Workgroup Server. This list of users can be exported as a .TXT file, the export includes the details that are displayed on the show logged on users dialog. To export the list of users, select the Show Logged on Users option from either the right-click menu, or from the Home - Workgroup Server ribbon, and then click Export. On the displayed Save As window, navigate to where the file is to be saved to, click Save.
- Show Running Queries - displays a dialog with the list of queries currently running on the Workgroup Server. Queries can be canceled by selecting the relevant query, right-click, and select Cancel. Click Export to export the data to a text file (.txt). Click Refresh Now to refresh the list.
Show Active Record Sets - displays a dialog with the list of active connected record sets. The active record sets can be canceled by selecting the relevant record set, right-click, and select Terminate. When a record set is terminated in the Content Manager Enterprise studio, the query is canceled in the Content Manager client application.
If an error message is displayed while an end user is running record set query in Content Manager client application then, either reissue the query or contact your Administrator.
Click Export to export the data to a text file (.txt). Click Refresh Now to refresh the list.
- Restart Event Processors - select this option to restart the Event Processor executable. If the Workgroup Server encounters 3 consecutive errors while querying the database for events, an email is sent to the Administrator, and the Event Processor executable for the particular dataset will stop.
- Remove - deletes the Workgroup Server from the setup.
You have to select a Workgroup Server to replace the server in the Select Replacement Workgroup Server for <server name> dialog box.

- Change the options as you need to and click OK to save your changes
