Importing and exporting connections [12]

Terminal connections within the Rumba Mainframe Display view can be saved to an .xml file, where they can be exported for use on another machine, or restored on that same machine at a later date.

Importing connections from such a file overwrites any current connections within the Rumba Mainframe Display view.

Exporting connections

  1. Ensure that you have the Rumba Mainframe Display view open, and at least one connection in the Show Terminal list.
  2. On the Window menu, click Preferences.

The Preferences dialog box is displayed.

  3. Click Micro Focus > Enterprise Server > TN3270.
  4. In the TN3270 panel, click Export Connections.
  5. Use the Export Embedded Rumba... dialog box to save the .xml file.
Note: If any of the connections are TLS-enabled and use a private key password, the password is not exported.

The saved file can be used on another machine, or this machine at a later date, to import the saved connections.
