Configuring Compare and Synchronization Monitor

To synchronize your workstation with a mainframe, you need to set up a mainframe node. To do this, use the Server Access Configuration dialog box, which is used to configure communications settings for a number of other Mainframe Access components.

From this dialog box, you can view the status of the MFDaemon. The MFDaemon is a process that must be running to allow Compare and Synchronization Monitor and other Mainframe Access components to connect to a mainframe. If you stop the daemon from this dialog box, it will affect your Mainframe Access components.

You can also configure some of the aspects of the user interface, such as the menus and statuses that are displayed, and the appearance of the console log.
