Configure Face Detection for Best Results

To tune the performance of face detection, consider using the following parameters.

MinSize

The smallest size of face (from top to bottom) that Media Server attempts to detect. You can specify the size in pixels or as a percentage of the smallest image dimension (width or height).

Setting MinSize to smaller values causes face detection to take longer. Setting MinSize to a value that is too large is a common cause of face detection failure.

For an image of 1024x768 pixels, this value limits face detection to faces that are equal to, or greater than, 115 pixels high.
