Repeating Item Rule

For writable tables, columns defined on a repeating data item must have its subscripts bound to constants.

Note that this does not prohibit columns defined on variable-length groups. It is not required that a column be bound to every occurrence of a repeating data item.

This example shows how all of an item's subscripts can be bound. The data item, SF-DOLLAR-SALES-PER-MONTH, has condition-names set for each value that the subscript can contain. In this case the values are 1 through 12. See Defining Columns on Repeating Data Items for more details on how subscripts are bound.
