Defining Date Constants

Relativity provides a number of options that interpret the way in which COBOL dates are translated to SQL dates. These options, collectively known as date constants, are stored in the Relativity catalog.

Date constants control the conversion in certain transforms and internal functions of COBOL data item values to SQL column date values.

The date constants can be adjusted using the Relativity Designer or the Relativity DBA to reflect common algorithms used in COBOL procedural code.

The values and structures of the date constants can be changed by appropriate actions in the Date Constants dialog box:
