Specifying Element Types with their Properties

You need to create three different element types:

  1. An Element Type to represent an issue.
  2. An Element Type to represent the first tree view level with the fixed values 'All Issues' and 'Issues by Priority'.
  3. An Element Type to represent the second tree view level with the fixed values 'Low', 'Medium', 'High', and 'Urgent'.

In the AWM model editor:

  1. Right-click Element Types.
  2. Click New Child > Element Type.

    This opens the Enter Object IDs dialog box.

  3. In the Element Type field, type TUTORIAL_ELE_Issue.
  4. In the Property Element Type field, type TUTORIAL_PROP_ELE_EleType.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Right-click TUTORIAL_ELE_Issue, and then click Edit.

    This opens the Edit Properties dialog box.

  7. Double-click the Matchname value cell, and type ISSUE.
  8. Click OK
  9. Repeat steps 1 through 6 for the following Element Types and corresponding Matchtypes:
    Element Type Matchtype
    TUTORIAL_ELE_IssueFilter ISSUEFILTER
    TUTORIAL_ELE_PriorityFilter ISSUEPRIORITY
  10. Click File > Save.
