Select From ... dialogue boxes
Select From ... windows contain items for you to select from.
These windows appear when you click KwikSelect or when you refine a search for an object by clicking F7 - for example, records, Locations, Classifications, security levels, Thesaurus terms etc. The starting point for these search results list can also be set via the User Options > Search page.
See KwikSelect fields.
Prefixed selections
What you type in a field will appear in the Select From ... window.
For example, if you type A in an Assignee Location search and then click KwikSelect, the Select From ... window will only show items starting with A.
Select from... shortcut search options
The results list on a Select from... dialogue box can be further refined by using the shortcut search options. These options are a 'saved search' that will display a list of results when clicked. The available options is dependent on the object type. When clicked most of the shortcut options will refresh the result list with it's results, e.g. Favourites, others, such as Saved Searches and User Labels, require you to select the search list(s) whose results you want displayed.
You can also create a new object from the Select from... dialogue shortcut options. Click New and the relevant New options or dialogue boxes will appear.
