Copying a Table Definition
- In the Catalog Explorer, double-click the
File Definitions node.
The catalog's file definitions are displayed.
- Expand the relevant file definition, then expand the Table Definitions node.
- Right-click the required table definition and select
Copy Table Definition.
Note: The Catalog Explorer also contains a Table Definitions node, where all tables (regardless of which file definition they are derived) are listed; you can also right-click this node and select Copy Table Definition.
The Copy Table Definition dialog box is displayed.
- In the To field, enter the name of the new table definition.
- Click
Copy Table.
A copy of the table definition (and any of its existing table instances) is displayed.
