The Relativity Data Server is the component of a two-tier or client/server Relativity DBMS that resides on the remote server machine and implements the file to relational database transformations and the application data file access routines. This component runs on the remote machine that has access to the COBOL data files, either directly or through the network file system of the remote machine. See also Relativity Data Client.
