Microsoft Azure Blob Store
The Microsoft Azure Blob document store in Content Manager connects to an external store of type Microsoft Azure Blob Store.
For this functionality to be available, the feature Microsoft Azure Storage Integration must be selected in the System Options Features page.
To configure the store, you need to provide a single string, which represents a connection string to the Microsoft Azure Blob Store service.
- On the Administration menu, click Document Stores from the displayed list.

The Document Stores window appears.
- Right-click and on the New Document Store menu, click Microsoft Azure Blob Store.
The New Document Store dialogue box appears.
- Fill in the fields on the Azure tab:
- Name - the name of the store of your electronic items
- Implement SEC Rule 17a-4 Compliance rules - see About SEC Rule 17a-4 Compliance rules
- Azure Storage Container Name - container within the Azure storage account
- Azure Storage Virtual Directory - specifies the name of a folder within the Azure container.
- Azure Storage Connection String - is the connection string you get from Azure.
NOTE: Once a store is created with this option set, it cannot be unchecked.
- Select the required options on the General tab. See Document stores general settings.
- Complete the details on the Storage Pool tab. See Using document stores options.
- Tiered Storage tab - Fill in the fields on the Tiered storage tab, if required.
- Fill in the fields on the Usage tab - optional. See also Configuring the usage details.
- Test - click to test the store link
- Click OK.
Content Manager saves your new store and it appears in the list pane.
- In Content Manager Enterprise Studio, enable the event processor Document Store Delete Retry Requests.
It is a way of guaranteeing that delete requests to any Content Manager document store are eventually processed by retrying failed requests until they are successful.
NOTE: If you are creating a new electronic document store to replace an old one, remember to point your Record Types to the new store.

The New Document Store dialogue box appears.
- In the Azure tab, enter details as required:
