System Options Features page

IMPORTANT: If your organization or service provided has opted to use the Content Manager Administration client, not all System Options will be available in the Content Manager client. Options marked with a * will only be available in the Content Manager Administration client. See the Content Manager Enterprise Studio - Dataset setup and maintenance - Content Manager Administration client help for further information.

IMPORTANT: Some product features may be in the process of deprecation and are planned to be removed in a future release. These deprecated features require a special activation key as we are limiting the use of them to only those customers who have an essential requirement. If you need to activate one for these features, you can obtain a key by logging a case with the OpenText Content Manager Customer Support team, specifying the name of the feature you wish to activate and the Database global unique identifier displayed on the popup activation screen.

To display this page, on the Administration tab, click System Options and select the Features page.

TIP: If using the Content Manager Administration client, this is available on the Home tab.

You can use this page to select Content Manager features that should be available to your users, or to make them unavailable by removing the tags beside them. For changes in this page to take effect, you need to restart Content Manager.

Some of these features have great implications on the way users can use Content Manager for example to find records, so before turning off features that may be in use already, confirm that this is what you want or need to do, and confirm your choice with the Content Manager users.

Turning off a feature also means that most of its menus and dialogs will be hidden in the interface.
