Document Review

Below are the list of document review steps available for a document that is under review and requires authorisation. To see the Document Review feature on the menu when a record is highlighted, the "Document Review and Authorisation" feature must be enabled in the System Options - Features page.

The Document Review tab is accessible for records if the record type is configured for review.

Document Review can also be added to the new record form so users can allocate the review and authorisation configuration when a new record is created. See Record Type Form page.

NOTE:

Content Manager will behave in the following manner if any of the following occurs during a document review:

Checking In:

  • If the Allow reviewers to make changes to the document option is not enabled on the Record Type, if a record is being reviewed or authorised and state is editing, then only the editor is allowed to check in a new revision. Once the review process has started the record cannot be modified.

Checking Out (and also Annotate/Promote Revision):

  • If the Allow reviewers to make changes to the document option is not enabled on the Record Type, if a record is being reviewed or authorised and state is editing, then only the editor is allowed to check out the document. Once the review process has started the record cannot be checked out or modified.

Delete Document

  • If the Allow reviewers to make changes to the document option is not enabled on the Record Type, if a record is being reviewed or authorised and state is editing, then only the editor is allowed to delete the record. Once the review process has started, the record cannot be deleted.
